  • Prezi is a great tool for collaborating with people in different areas, as well as an interactive classroom.

Basic "how to" for Prezi:

How to use Prezi with your students in the classroom.

As a group we decided to highlight why we think Prezi would be beneficial to teachers and students.

1. It has demonstrated that the Prezi application is very interactive, and can be a little wild at times, depending on the amount of matter in a topic.
.
2. It of reminded me of a reusable black or white board online. The only difference was, that the topics that are being pushed aside are not being erased , just faded away.

Reflection

This was a group project assigned in class. As a group, we chose the topic of Prezi.  We researched what Prezi was and how it is used.  We found information that explained Prezi at put it in a Wiki. Madison found a Prezi that actually explained what a Prezi is, in Prezi format.  I made a Prezi math lesson that could be used in a first grade classroom.  Both of these were embedded into our Wiki and presented to our table group.
When our group was assigned the Prezi topic, I felt very comfortable with it.  I had used Prezi in other classes and felt pretty confident.  That feeling soon changed to frustration.  Our group had to embed the Prezi explanation and the Prezi lesson that I had made into our Prezi.  I had never embedded before.  While I was eager to learn how to use the embedding code to do this, I really struggled with the whole process.  After numerous trial and error attempts, I finally succeeded.
As a future teacher, I would use this as a daily teaching tool.  Prezi's can not only be used for math, but I feel it could be used for all subjects.  Spelling words could jump out of the screen.  Frogs could come to life for a science project.  Getting students engaged gets them motivated.  A motivated student is sure to have a successful academic career.
