    About me...
  Hello. My name is Chris Derricotte.I am married and have two children. One daughter is in fifth grade and the other is a sophomore in college.  I am earning my bachelors degree in education with a certification in K-3. I am a non traditional college student, but I feel that it is never too late to learn. I work at an elementary school as a kindergarten teacher aide. I learn so much from my students every day! I can not wait for the day when I get my own classroom and start teaching.

OBJECTIVE

     I would like to obtain a teaching position in a middle school setting. I have worked in the Amherst school district for the past seven years as a teacher aide would like to apply my skills and techniques in a
class room setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have worked in the Amherst school district for seven years. I have worked in classrooms ranging from kindergarten to junior high.  I have strong communication and collaborative skills, as well as critical thinking and problem solving techniques. I am certified in the Project More Reading program. I am a team player who is willing to help out when needed.  I don’t believe that my job description is my job.  My job is to help students succeed in the academic journey.
